May 7, 2020 | 12:00 GMT

Stratfor

In this episode of the Stratfor Essential Geopolitics Podcast, Fred Burton speaks with RANE's Adriano Bosoni, who is Senior European Analyst. Bosoni says that the COVID-19 pandemic has severely delayed free trade agreement negotiations between the European Union and the United Kingdom. Combined with logistical and political obstacles, it is unlikely that the two sides will reach a comprehensive trade deal before Britain's scheduled departure from the EU single market by year's end.
