As of Jan. 28, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases around the world had reached over 4,690 with a death toll of 106. Suspected or confirmed cases in Germany, Taiwan, Vietnam and Japan include patients who hadn't recently traveled to China, suggesting human-to-human transmissions. Compared with the SARS outbreak in 2003, Chinese authorities have so far acted more quickly and more aggressively to curb the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus. But it remains to be seen whether these efforts are having an impact, as the number of confirmed cases both within China and around the world continues to grow....
